Froebel USA 2013 Conference October 11-13, 2013 in Ann
Arbor, MI
Be prepared to play, learn, and be inspired from these hands-on
workshops. This two-day conference (Sat. Oct. 12th and Sun. Oct.
13th) will provide many opportunities to meet and network with
other Froebelians from all over the world. Advance packets will be
sent with study material so those new to Froebel will be better
prepared and sessions can focus on application of the method.
Optional activities on Friday Oct. 11th include an exhibit of
historical Froebel Kindergarten materials and an evening
reception.

The theme of this year's conference is K-12 Design
Education with Froebel Materials. The content of the
workshops will involves practical aspects of Gift Play (and related
Occupations activities), plus modern day use of songs and movement
games, gardening and nature education.
To be held at conference facilities on the University of
Michigan campus (30 minutes from the Detroit Metro International
Airport (DTW).
Who should attend? This conference is aimed at a diverse and
multidisciplinary audience, including art educators, math teachers,
homeschooling parents, early childhood professors and
practitioners, educational historians, and others.
